MEET THE TEAM

Owner & Founder/Manager/Lead Pet Sitter & Walker
Hi, I'm Ruth! I'm the owner and founder of Happy Tails. I started this company when I decided to pursue my passion - caring for people and their pets. I grew up caring for pets and actually dreamed of starting a pet sitting business when I was a kid! Fast forward a couple decades and I finally did it. :) I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, and have some education in grooming from Animal Behavior College, and animal behavior through IAABC. I love continually learning everything I can on the best ways to care for animals, and volunteering when I can for local shelters and rescues. In my free time you can find me playing Dungeons & Dragons or video games with my friends, bicycling on a trail, or hiking and camping with my husband!

Team Leader - Dog Trainer/Walker/Pet Sitter
Hi, I'm Chris! I am a Dog Trainer at Happy Tails Pet Care. In 2017 I decided to pursue an education on Dog Training. A year later, I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a Certified Dog Trainer. My new certification scored me a job as a Behavior Specialist at the Halifax Humane Society where I worked on training, evaluating, and rehabilitating shelter dogs. After getting some experience I decided to look for a job being a full time dog trainer and that's how I found Happy Tails.
The team here at Happy Tails has given me a platform to put my knowledge and skills to use and enabled me to further educate myself on dog behavior. I love to educate the communities we serve on how to form stronger and long lasting bonds with their best friends through the power of positive training! Outside of dog training, I love napping with my cats, and creating video game content with my fiancee on YouTube and Twitch.

Team Leader - Pet-Sitter/Walker, Overnight House-Sitter
Hi, my name is Elizabeth! I am the overnight house sitter and dog walker for Happy Tails. My passion for animal care began when I was a child and was given the opportunity to help rehabilitate wounded and abandoned animals my father would bring home from work at Discovery Island. Since then I have become a professional pet sitter and undergone Pet CPR training in order to pursue my passion.
I have devoted myself to providing the best care and attention to all animals while volunteering at the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, and in my work with Happy Tails! The thing I love most about working with animals is building a strong bond and earning their trust and love. A pet’s love knows no bounds! When I’m off the clock I can be found hiking in a nearby forest or kayaking at the springs!
Brendan can help you with:
Animal Behavior Specialist
Dog Trainer/Walker/Pet Sitter
Hello everyone! My name is Brendan and I am an Animal Behavior Specialist. I have personally owned and cared for dogs for over 35 years and know first-hand how special the bond between owner and pet is. I have always loved animals so in college I double majored in marine biology and psychology with concentrations in marine mammals and animal behavior. I went on to a professional career training animals with SeaWorld for twenty years.
During that time, I honed my animal training skills with many different species ranging from sea lions, otters, seals and walrus to dolphins, whales, parrots and a plethora of other animals both in the shows and with the rescue team. I trained important husbandry behaviors like voluntary x-rays and blood draws to fun behaviors that were used in guest meet and greets and on TV and extremely complex behaviors seen in the shows. I also did a lot of community outreach and conservation education. I really enjoyed connecting people with amazing animals, and have decided to carry that on with Happy Tails helping others to connect with, understand and live their best life with their furry and feathered family members.
More Amazing Sitters
Hi I'm Celena! Animal care needs have always been a top priority of mine, ever since I can remember. I've had a few years of experience in this field, starting as a kennel attendant, pet sitter, and then working my way up to become a veterinary technician. I always try to be the voice for animals since they are unable to speak for what they deserve.
Hello everyone! My name is Axtiley. I am a certified vet assistant who loves anything fluffy. I haves worked with animals for over 7 years and can't wait to meet your fur baby !
Hello everyone, I am Adam! I have over 5 years of experience working in Vet Medicine and have been a lifetime pet owner. In my free time you'll find me playing ultimate, playing games on my PC, or playing with my dachshunds.
Hi, I'm Sue! I have loved animals all my life. I have had cats, for the last 30 years, but always had dogs in my youth. I have a great connection with all animals. I have spent many hours at Sea World playing with the dolphins and parrots love me too. Your pets will be very loved and safe in my care. There is nothing I like better than cuddling on the couch with a warm, fuzzy friend.
